Optimize How Your Team Learns: Mastering Loopy AI Settings

Welcome back to the LoopBot.ai tutorial series! Today, we’re diving into a powerful feature that can transform how your team learns and retains information: modifying the Loopy AI settings.

Loopy, our intelligent AI teacher, is designed to enhance your team’s learning experience. It does this by assigning daily questions, using a smart system: if a team member answers correctly, Loopy schedules that material for a later review; if incorrect, the question reappears on the next training day. As a team administrator on LoopBot.ai, you have control over how Loopy operates, and these settings apply to everyone on your team.

How to Access Loopy AI Settings

To adjust Loopy’s behavior, you first need to access your Team Settings. You can do this in one of two ways:

  1. From Your Admin Dashboard: Click on the ‘Settings’ button located on the left navigation bar, under the “Administrator” tab.
  2. From the Top Navigation Bar: Click on your name (or profile icon) in the top navigation bar, then select ‘Team Settings’ from the dropdown menu.

Understanding the Three Main Loopy AI Settings

Once you’re in Team Settings, you’ll find three key settings that allow you to fine-tune Loopy’s approach to assigning daily loops:

1. Optimizing the Loop Ordering

Each morning, Loopy assigns a pool of questions to your team members for review. This setting determines how those questions are presented:

  • Active: With this setting on, Loopy will dynamically change the order of questions as team members complete their daily loops. Loopy’s goal here is to maximize retention by presenting questions in an order that helps connect patterns and similarities, fostering deeper understanding.
  • Off: If this setting is turned off, Loopy will follow a simple random assignment of questions each morning.

2. Adaptive Cadence

Each course has a set cadence (e.g., daily, quarterly, yearly, or based on spaced repetition) that dictates how successfully answered questions are looped back to the user. The Adaptive Cadence setting allows Loopy to adjust this:

  • Active: When active, Loopy will still try to conform to your chosen course cadence but can slightly modify the spacing between questions. This happens when Loopy detects that a team member might forget information before their next scheduled review, proactively bringing the question forward to prevent memory decay.
  • Off: Turning this setting off means Loopy will strictly follow the established course cadence without any adjustments.

3. Question Rewriting

This powerful setting determines whether Loopy can rewrite questions to better suit a team member’s current learning needs:

  • Responding to Challenges: If a team member is struggling with a multiple-choice question, Loopy can modify it to have fewer answer choices or even turn it into a true/false question, making it easier to initially grasp. This allows for ‘small wins’ that build confidence and help the user begin to retain the material. Importantly, Loopy will eventually revert the question to its original form, as the team member must ultimately be able to answer the original question.
  • Increasing Difficulty for Mastery: Loopy can also rewrite questions to make them more difficult once a team member has achieved mastery. This pushes them further without penalty: if they answer incorrectly on a more difficult version, it won’t affect their learning streak; the question will simply be assigned again.

By understanding and adjusting these Loopy AI settings, you can tailor the learning experience to best support your team’s needs, maximizing retention and optimizing their path to mastery. Experiment with these settings to find what works best for your team’s learning style!
